Our Story
Owners: Jesse and Tasha Stimson
Jesse Stimson grew up mowing on a farm in southwest Iowa. This blessing developed his love of the outdoors and of machinery. He also learned a solid work ethic - a trait he shares with his brother Seth, previous owner of SSS Lawn and Tree. Most recently, he was employed by BNSF Railway as a freight engineer, a post he withdrew from to purchase this company. Not only does lawn care allow him to fulfill a lifelong dream of business ownership, it also provides an occasion to work in tandem with his wife of three years, Tasha.
Tasha Stimson is a 2006 graduate of Grace University, receiving her degree in Music and Biblical Studies. She taught private piano lessons in southwest Iowa for a number of years, developing rapport with students and honing her bookkeeping skills. A self-described “nerd”, Tasha relishes the spreadsheets that accompany her new role as office manager for SSS Lawn and Tree.
Jesse, Tasha, and Seth will be working closely together this year as we gradually transition responsibilities. We want to be faithful to keep the communication and service consistent for our existing customers. If you are new to SSS, let us show you what a good team can accomplish!
